Pre & Post Surgical Massage Therapy
Is
cosmetic/plastic surgery
in your future? As a smart consumer, you're interviewing
your potential physician's credentials, board certification
and licensure...after all, you're investing time, trust, and
not to mention your hard-earned money, in a "NEW YOU"!
Did
you know that massage therapy can enhance most plastic surgery
outcomes? We works with your physician to provide a
therapeutic massage regimen customized to your body's
requirements.
How
can Lymphatic Massage Enhance my Surgery Results?
Pre-Operatively
- Massage assists in "softening" or "loosening" areas of
cellulite, fatty deposits (great for liposuction)
- Helps to reduce tension and anxiety
- Assists in reducing any pre-op swelling in the area by
increasing lymphatic flow and blood circulation
- Boosts immunity, which enhances your ability to fight
infection AND prepares the body for the upcoming "tissue
trauma" associated with any surgery
Post-Operatively
- Massage helps to decrease discomfort in the surgical area
by decreasing swelling
- Eliminates fluid collection/stagnation by enhancing
lymphatic drainage
- Speeds your body's recovery process by delivering
increased levels of oxygen and nutrients to your cells
- Assists in removing toxins (damaged cells, anesthesia
chemicals, and other pharmaceutical agents) from your body
(blood & lymph circulation)
- Helps to minimize excessive bruising (ecchymosis) at the
site
- Helps speed nerve regeneration (reducing numbness to
affected area)
- Assists with reduction of scarring & improves elasticity
of skin
- Supports the body's immune system and may help to prevent
or fight an infection, in case it occurs
LYMPHATIC SYSTEM
MANUAL LYMPHATIC
"DRAINAGE" (MLD)
MASSAGE
60
min - $70
One of the lymph system's main purposes is
to cleanse the body of accumulated toxins. Using a
light pressure, the therapist's focused strokes promote
increased lymph circulation, resulting in a "jump start" of
the detoxification process. Results vary based on the
individual's pre-treatment level of wellness and on surgical
area. We
recommend increasing your water intake for 48-72 hours after
your service to facilitate the removal of excess toxins from
the blood stream.
